The bear has long been a symbol of strength and correct use of energy for many cultures across the Northern Hemisphere. Bears are known to hibernate and conserve energy. As many of us now hibernate and await the passing of the Coronavirus pandemic we might think of bear and its’ instinctual cycle of energy conservation and self-preservation. This Prayer Bear print includes the spiral, the breath of life. Two of these prints were produced. Both can be viewed here. There are just slight variations between the two. The monotype image is 4.25” X 4.50” with the paper margin beyond the image. They were printed on April 7th & 8, 2020.
